Kim’s Teammate Soto ‘Thankful for 4 Home Runs’ Named NL Rookie of the Week

Juan Soto, who plays for the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball (MLB), has been named the National League (NL) Player of the Week.

The MLB office announced the NL and American League (AL) Players of the Week on Monday. Soto spun the bat harder than anyone last week.

In the team’s six games, he batted 4-for-5 with 11 doubles (in 26 at-bats), four home runs, 13 RBIs, and a 1.500 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage). San Diego’s chances of making the postseason are slim, but Soto’s bat has helped them go 5-1 in six games.

Soto is also on pace to break the single-season home run record. As of Aug. 18, he has 32 home runs in 150 games this season.스포츠토토

Soto’s previous record for home runs in a season was 34, set in 2019 with the Washington Nationals.

In the AL, Rafael Devers of the Boston Red Sox was named Player of the Week.

In seven games last week, Devers went 8-for-20 with four home runs and five RBIs. He posted an OPS of 1.586.
