Moss needs to be more solid under the basket.
Daegu KOGAS lost its fourth straight game on Monday, falling 69-91 to Suwon KT in the 2023-2024 regular season at KT Arena in Suwon, South Korea.
KOGAS has had a tough time this season. Since the offseason, the team’s main players have left. The team’s No. 1 foreign option, Isaiah Hicks (202 cm, C), was injured during a cup tournament and is out for the season. Andrew Nicholson (206 cm, F) was brought in on short notice, but he’s been a bit of a disappointment.
KOG has one win and five losses in its first six games. The team has had a lot of problems. Their scoring average is the lowest at 74.3 points. Their rebounding average was 28.4, the second lowest in the league. They averaged 0.3 blocked shots per game. This was also the lowest.

However, Moss hasn’t looked like that to start the season. In his first six games, he averaged 5.3 points and 3.5 rebounds. He didn’t record a single blocked shot. KT needed Moss to play solid perimeter defense.
Moss only played 13 seconds in the first quarter against KT. However, he started the second quarter. Once on the court, Moss was aggressive. He defended the basket well and recorded a blocked shot. He also grabbed five rebounds. As a result, KOGAS was only able to score two points in the first five minutes of the second quarter.
The defense wasn’t the only thing that worked, as the offense was also looking to get to the basket. And it worked. Moss made three of his four shots. He scored nine points in the second quarter, matching KT’s team total of 12. Moss’s performance helped KOG come from behind. At the end of the second quarter, the score was 40-35.
After a strong second quarter, Moss took over in the third quarter. He scored a basket just seven seconds into the quarter. He even drew a foul on his opponent.
